Indigo Dyeing with Indigowares

Make your own fashion textiles in a beginners Shibori Pattern Making and Indigo Dyeing Textile Workshop.

In this two hour workshop, you will learn the process of making pattern using a traditional Japanese process.

Shibori textile classes are a great one session workshops where you can arrive knowing nothing and leave with arms full of beautiful indigo and shibori textiles.

Please wear old clothing and shoes that you won’t mind getting splashed on with indigo. An apron is a good extra layer a pair of rubber gloves. Everything is provided, including pieces of calico to dye, but please feel free to also bring any natural material you’d like to dye and up cycle. This can be a cotton tea towel or scarf, linen, hemp, silk etc – just make sure it has had a good wash to encourage good indigo uptake.
